Sociology is a relatively new academic discipline. It appears early in the 19th century in response to the challenges of modernity. Improve mobility and technological advances lead to increased exposure of people to different cultures and societies of their own. The impact of this exposure remains, but for some people include damage to the traditional norms and customs justified revision of understanding how the world works. Sociologists respond to these changes to continue to try to understand what social groups together and also look for possible solutions for the breakdown of social solidarity.

Sosiologi adalah disiplin ilmu yang relatif baru. Ini muncul di awal abad ke-19 dalam menanggapi tantangan modernitas.
